Welcome to The Conversant and The Eidolon

This simple 3 page RPG comes out of an attempt to process my own trauma. I suffer from major depression, dissociative disorder and post traumatic stress syndrome due to some incredibly rough events in my recent history. As a way to tackle those and ask myself hard questions I fell back on something I know and love - Role Playing Games. Here, I create a scene, form two characters in my minds eye and engage in a conversation using the "other" as a reflection of my emotional states. 

This has been an incredible help for me and I thought it might be useful to others as well. In this short book you'll be taken on a guided conversation with a person of your choice - learning how to set the stage for that conversation, how to visualize that other person as fully as you can and how to switch between yourself and the other in order to engage in meaningful conversation. 

This need not be only a tool for those of us who have gone through difficult moments though, this game can also help:

1. Flesh out the emotional center of your RPG characters for anything from D&D to Cyberpunk to Monsterhearts
2. Understand the perspective of real people or fictional characters in a more fulfilling way
3. As a form of meditation to calm and center your emotions around a conversation with a non-judgmental other
4. Visualize places and people that are important to you 

It is, in essence, the conversation you need it to be. So I do hope you enjoy.
